Hi guys,
So I am currently lookig into applying for a work visa here in Brazil at the moment but i am aware it may take some time..I am on a student visa now that runs out in July..my question is:if i need need more time to sort it out-is it possible for me to leave the country and come back in without waiting 6 months-say go to one of the neighbouring countries like Argentina and come back on a tourist visa? I have asked around and most people reckon it is possible as they are completely different visas..however would appeaciate some reassurance!

Yes, that is possible. Noelstr8 tried the process (although different) from a tourist to a student visa. She e-mailed the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires and everything was a go... Please read on:
