Free and low-cost leisure activities in Kuwait

Hello,

We invite you to share some information regarding leisure activities that are free or low-cost in Kuwait. This information will give future expats (or even current expats) an idea regarding some of leisure activities that they might not be aware of.

Is there a way to find out about free or low-cost fun activities in Kuwait, such as a specific app, or a newsletter, or magazine, tourism board, etc.? How do you find out where events are organised?

What are the most common free leisure activities in Kuwait?
Which free activities do you recommend for children, for teenagers, for adults, and for seniors?

Are there certain days where access to paid activities are offered at a lower price or even for free, such as museum entry, or exhibitions, or a theme park, etc.?

How do you maximise your leisure activities in the most cost-effective manner?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Priscilla

If you follow Kuwaitup2date on facebook they're usually pretty good about posting activities for the weekends.

Some things I like to do for free:

- there was a Drift event recently hosted by RedBull that was free (Red Bull Car Park Drift)

- Check out the cars at the Kuwait Towers (Saturday after about 2pm is when they tend to gather)

- There was a car and motorcycle  show at the 360 mall a while back that was free.

- Go fishing.  I get that you need equipment, but if it's your hobby that's probably not an issue for you (and it is free)

- hit up a beach.  they're full of expats playing various games.  You dont have to play, just hang out and watch.

This weekend we plan to hit up Comicon and a kite festival (kite festival is free, not sure about Comicon).  I understand that there's Camel Racing going on this time of year, I believe that's free too.

Good times.

Low cost activities in Kuwait??? Only thing I can think of is sitting in my car thanks to bumper to bumper daily traffic for hours everyday. It's a lost cost activity since gad is dirt cheap around here.

Website called Inter nations they have ALL kinds of activities. You can see the scheduling dayes and time, cost and more.

Dates not dayes ... stupid iPhone!!

Hai,,how are you? In kuwait there more low cost funs there. Are you planning to come here in kuwait

As trivial as it may sound, a Gym membership is a pretty good way to spend time, and burn up calories in the process. A 3 month memebership in platinium gym costs 100 KWd.

You could also go jogging, running, swimming along the gulf coast. Q8run club has minimal memberhip fee, so does FIT- Kuwait group. Good luck

Hello!
there are sometimes free activities in the different cultural centers, so you can look for them on Internet. It is not difficult to find
