I’m gonna be traveling to Tunis, in a few weeks to meet my fiancé. He is from Algeria. We plan to get married I’ve done some research and I think I have everything paperwork wise I know each city hall is different so we should call ahead of time and ask what the require. Money wise, does anyone know how much a 15 day stay would be? We will be in Tunis until we marry then plan on going to sousse or should we just stay in the capital? Will we be able to share a hotel before we are married? How much are hotel rooms for a week? Also how much is entrance and exit fees? Any info would be great! Tia. -also any tips on marrying? I have the passport, birth certificate, I will get the single paper from the embassy (does he get his from there as well) and I know we go to the doctor there for blood work.

Indeed the US embassy will give u your celibat certificate.. In his presence with his passport but by Appointement only

Concerning his...I can't answer( what's required from Algerians to be married in Tunisia .. He should know the answer!!!!

The rest is little stuff
The 1$ will give you 2.34 TND
I will say u need 2k on the safe side

Good luck

All your documents will have to be translated to both french and Arabic.. I think this cost us about 40DT. if you have been married before you will need your divorce degree. and yes your appointment at the embassy.  each municipal will require something different..  you will need your blood work too. we got our results back in 3 days. We were able to stay in the same hotel together before we were married when I was there in Aug. but this time we got an apartment and again this was not a problem. I know he had to declare me at the apartment but the hotel declared me when I was there. your entry fee if you are american is 0.00... Americans do not have to have a visa just a stamp in your passport. Tunisia is amazing.. there is much to see and much to do.. always stay aware of your surrounding and enjoy this beautiful country... Good luck to you

Which city did you get married in? Did he need anything specific? And also declare meaning ? Thank you!

We got married in the Capital, Tunis however there are many different Municipals. He just needed his birth certificate and blood test but he is Tunisian. Declared meaning that we had to let the Government know where I was and who I was with. I believe they contacted the local municipal. Anything I can do to make your trip better please let me know..
