Hey all I'm new to this site (just found it and was excited to stumble upon it). I'm traveling to San Juan from Corpus Christi in early March. I currently work with a volunteer organization and was hoping to see about easiest and cheapest ways to travel from San Juan to Barranquitas. I know there are taxis and Uber but what's the possiblity of hitch hiking or traveling some other cheap way.

On the site there are a couple of links to public cars. Also known in PR as “Carros Publicos”. These are vehicles that run from town to town. Unfurtunatly it is a very time consuming operation since you will need to change vehicles multiple times and wait in between. A rental car may end up being cheaper and faster.
Maybe somebody in the organization that you will be working with may pick you up at the airport.
Do a search for publico or public in the site to get the link if you want to go this route.
