Hi,

I would like to acquire an accommodation option in (Sinaran TTDI) TTDI region, Kuala Lumpur. However, I am unaware of the deposits and payments norms in KL. Is there any contract for the tenure of stay.
Example- if monthly rent is 3500MYR, then what should be the initial deposit and what would be the agency charge. In short, how much would I need to shell out in the 1st month and the subsequent months?

First months rental RM 3500
Two months deposit RM 7000
Half month Utility deposit RM 1750
Rental agreement RM 500-1000
Agent fee - the owner should pay this

Tenure usually 12 months (insert a special break clause, otherwise financially response for full amount if you need to move before)

By the way, are foreigners allowed to buy houses 1200-1500sq ft in KL region or Selangor? what are the minimum requirements there?

Size is not the criteria, purchase price is. In DBKL (Federal KL) area the minimum is RM1 million and in Selangor most areas it is RM2 million with some restrictions on type of property (must have strata title).

I am a little confused. I will obviously google about 'Strata title".
However could you tell me which areas and states or MRT station areas that come under the boundary of Federal Kuala Lumpur. Not getting any concrete answer @ Google!
