Going out in Bristol

Hi there,

Which are your 10 favorite places to go out in Bristol?

Which places would you recommend to newcomers? (restaurants, pubs, discos, theaters, cinemas, concert halls...)

Thanks!

Hey!
I won't go as far as my 10 favorite places but there a few areas where I love to go out: Clifton Village, Park street and the Triangle, the Watershed (and possibly sometimes Welsh Back and Corn Street).
Oups hold on, these actually are all the main areas where you can go out in Bristol city centre!

Yes, I agree about Watershed, it's so relaxing going there just for a coffee. Plus, you get to see all sorts of people. I would also include Gloucester road, there are a lot of cute little cefes and bars there too.

Hi,

There lots of places I liked in Bristol...

- Clifton village, especially the Primrose cafe and the arcade. Check out the observatory.
- Clifton Woods
- Park St for clothes and shoes
- Watershed also good if you're bored of US movies
- Gloucester Rd on Saturday morning. Nice bakeries and independant shops.
- St Nicholas market and its food stalls.
- The Downs in the summer
- White Ladies road
- The Folk House (courses for adults)

Restaurants/Pubs:
- Sands, very good Lebanese restaurant
- Il Rustico on Hotwells Rd
- Clifton sausage for Sunday Roast
- The Cottage (pub) good food, quite cheap and nice view on the river
- Instead of a having kebab, try the Magic Roll on the Triangle.

Also outside Bristol:
10 mn by train, Bath is really nice. Xmas market is on now but very busy...
Bradford upon Avon
Somerset and Devon

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions! I can't wait to explore the city! :)

A great restaurant is Flavourz, right in the town center.  It is a buffet of international foods, and the price is reasonable.  Great atmosphere, and the food is excellent.  I highly recommend it.
