Hello everyone,

One among the various issue that many expatriates usually raise is Health Care. So, I think it would be very interesting and helpful to start a topic about Health.

   > So, can you please list some of the private clinics & public hospitals around Kenya?

   > What about dental care? May be some tips about the costs?

   > Some addresses of Eye care clinic, opticians will also be welcomed!

   > Some addresses of pharmacies in Kenya will also be useful.

Do not hesitate, to add more related items to the list.

Thanks in advance for your participation!

It was in a lighter vein. I really appreciate all the topics you have started today, specially the shopping one. I will surely contribute, after I reach Kenya in another few months. Meantime, will digest all the contributions on these topics to gain more insight on these matters in Kenya.

Thanks & Regards

Hi everyone,

Healthcare is indeed a crucial topic for expatriates in Kenya. Here’s some information that might help:

Private Clinics & Public Hospitals:

-Private Hospitals: Some notable private hospitals include The Nairobi Hospital, Aga Khan University Hospital, and MP Shah Hospital²⁶⁸.

-Public Hospitals: Kenyatta National Hospital and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital are among the major public hospitals³⁴.

Dental Care:

- Dental care in Kenya is available at various clinics such as Parkview Dental Centre and Nairobi Dental Clinic. Costs can vary, but a routine check-up might cost around KSh 2,000 to KSh 5,000¹⁶.

Eye Care Clinics & Opticians:

- For eye care, you can visit Eye & U Kenya, City Eye Hospital, and Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital.

Pharmacies:

-Goodlife Pharmacy and MYDAWA are reliable options for pharmaceutical needs[^20^]²².
