Hi,
I am applying for a work permit for myself along with a dependent visa for my spouse. My question is does my wife need to move to Belgium along with me on the date of arrival, or can she travel alone at a later date with her dependent visa, once it is ready.

Apply for your visas together. Processing is easy when you apply together compared to you getting your visa, coming here and later applying for your wife's visa.
Once she has the visa, she can enter Belgium any day during the validity period of the visa.
