Hello
Am Laurence a  Ugandan currently working as a sales man here in Qatar. Am looking for any job in  Canada and wanted to know how long and how much does the process take.
Waiting for postive response. Thanks

Hi Laurence,

Welcome to Expat.com

As a first step, you will need to determine whether you're eligible to settle and work in Canada and the immigration programs you can apply for : https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-re … -tool.html

You may also need to determine if a work permit is required based on the type of professional activity that you want to pursue in Canada : https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-re … -work.html

Assuming that you've received favorable answers, you can run a simulation to check your application processing time : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informatio … 1504159699

Feel free to go through the Canada Expat Guide for additional information.

Best of luck

Chris
