The official language of the Czech Republic is Czech, which is spoken by over 96% of its inhabitants. But don't worry, nowadays you should have no problems communicating in English in most towns, and to a lesser extent in German. Older people often speak Russian and German.

As SimCity noted, Czech is the national language. You likely won't find much German being spoken, though it's more likely around the Carlsbad region, but Czech is far more useful. From what I understand based on what I've heard from other expats, Czech can be a very difficult language to learn. Around Prague, I had no problems getting by with English and my few words of Czech that I know
