Making the move to Ireland

Hi there,

My partner and I are South African and we are interested in formally immigrating to Ireland.
I am a 25 year old female admitted attorney (two years work experience) and he is a Junior Environmental Scientist specialising in Wetlands and Entomology Biodiversity (2.5 years work experience).

I understand that with my Ba (Law) LLB qualification, I will have to do some sort of a bridging course/study further before practising in Ireland, unless I am able to find a job in a different field.
Can anyone shed some light on the process of converting and South African Law qualification to an Irish one?

Furthermore, is it best to deal directly with the Irish Embassy in South Africa or should we be working through a consultant? What are the chances of us finding employment as young graduates with only around 2/3 years work experience?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
