How difficult is to get US/America work visa for NZ citizens?

Let's say somebody ( previously living in India) got NZ citizenship by living here for more than 5 years. Afterwards, let's say that person wants to move to America for work.
How difficult it is to get work visa for America if they got NZ citizenship? What's the application and process to file work visa for America?

Hi jshreyas,

Please note that your thread is now on the USA Forum.

I suggest you to go through the USA expat guide, it details the necessary requirements and procedures for those willing to settle and work in USA.

The U.S. Embassy and Consulate in New Zealand also offers guidance on how to proceed : https://nz.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/

Hope this helps you

Best of luck

Ones nationality is largely not a major factor in whether or not a US work visa can be obtained, unless one is North Korean for example :)  There are many Indians working in the USA, so I don't see why "somebody" wants to hide that or think it's more favorable to be a NZ citizen in this aspect.

What matters is your skills and experience and whether or not a U.S employer needs you and wants to sponsor you for a work visa.
