Raising kids in Bermuda

Hello everyone,

How is raising kids in Bermuda different from raising kids in your home country?

What are the activities that your kids seem to enjoy the most in Bermuda?

Do you feel that the country is "family-friendly"?

Do you recommend Bermuda as a good place to raise kids? Why or why not?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

Bermuda is the most wonderful place to raise young children. There are playgrounds, Playgroup's and lots of good pre schools. Also available are dance classes and all types of sport classes and art classes and library groups. It is a very safe place so you can give your children more freedom than they may allowed at home. Everyone is very welcoming to children although good behavior is expected from even small children. There are some family friendly restaurants and of course the beaches are clean with the main ones having good changing facilities. The buses are not equipped to take children in strollers or prams. The babies have to taken out and the prom collapsed. While there is generally someone who will assist you it tends not to be bus driver (with some exceptions) who would watch you struggle. That is a small matter but you will need to get a car arranged fairly quickly with young children.
