My son is heading to Finland to play Ice Hockey and study for 2 months. Does he need any additional health insurance. He is Australian. I believe there is reciprocal health care coverage?
Thank you

According to the Australian Department of Human services you should take out travel insurance. You would get emergency care only.
Is he going to play professionally. If so then check with the hockey club about cover.
Many thanks for the information!
Yes, there is an agreement between Australia and Finland, check the link https://www.humanservices.gov.au/individuals/enablers/rhca-visiting-finland#a1 for more detailed coverage. Hope your son will enjoy his trip to Finland, welcome!
