Traffic in Venezuela

Hello everyone,

Which city or area do you live in in Venezuela, and how do you find the traffic?

How long does it take to commute to work or run errands?

Is there a rush hour in your city? What times of the day would you recommend people to avoid driving if they can?

Are there any ways to avoid spending too much time in traffic in Venezuela?

What is parking availability and cost like?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

The traffic here in Maracaibo, is very hectic in peak hours, especially on school days. Traffic really simmers down, around midday, but heats up around 2:00-2:30 that's when school hours terminate.Honestly, there's no cultural empathy for car-pooling, except when a big-close family is involved. Street lights are somewhat not too respected over here, so be veeeery careful when driving, especially at night.
