The best way to make this happen is by going to school and getting a degree that you can use for a high demand profession. Once you have this, you become more valuable and a wider range of companies based in the US will be more interested to sponsor you.

Research high demand jobs within the US to help you determine which one you would be interested in going to school for. New York City is a very competitive place. Make yourself more valuable and you will one day have your dream come true. Just stay focused.
