Building a sustainable house in the Opol area

Hi all,
First time on this site so not sure how things work exactly, I'm an English man currently living in England who has a Filipino girlfriend living in Opol. We are looking to build a house on land that her family own and create a sustainable farm looking at being as self sufficient as possible for food and water electric etc, hope to live the good life. Looking for any advice on how achievable this would be and has anyone had any experience of off grid power and water etc, how possible is it to grow and raise your own food etc?

Any comments very welcome

You will be giving a nice gift to the girl and her family. Good luck.

I understand your comments but this is something that has been driven by me as we already have a small house in Opol that we currently rent, this project is about building something for the family long term as part of my early retirement and I understand that I will never own the property.
Thanks for your response

I'm looking at doing exactly the same thing without the farming, unless it's small specialist crops, it the moment I'm looking at building from shipping containers or if that doesn't pan out then dome houses, electricity wise it's a simple set up of solar panels and battery bank, using an inverter or small generator for occasional high current items, water wise it depends on your location but I'm sure it is quite easily possible to catch and re use
Rain water some parts of the year.

Hi, thanks for your response, we are only looking at the farm on a small scale to provide our own food with maybe a little surplus to trade for essentials we can't grow or make.
Also thinking of solar power and maybe wind power for the peak usage times, also considering saving rain water and using filter system to provide water including for drinking if possible.
Looking to set everything up in the beginning so we can live as simply and cheaply as possible.
