Pellet / hopper burning stoves

Does anybody have a pellet / hopper burning stove? If so, would they mind sharing what they consider to be the pros and cons of such a system? And also the running costs?
Thanks in advance

We have a pellet/hopper burning stove.

The pros are:
It is much cleaner than a wood burner, it is instant heat, it is programmable, just like a central heating system, remote control too.
Depending on the size you buy it will heat large areas, ours is a medium size and heats a 100 sq mtr area easily, even set on its lowest settings.

Cons:
Pellets are approx 300 lev per ton. A ton should last 2 winters.
We buy ours from a supplier in Nesebar (the price includes delivery to Burgas area).
You must store the pellets in a dry place.
The unit is expensive to buy, a medium size is approx £1,000 including fitting and commissioning.

Other than that go ahead and get one, you won't regret it.

Thanks Rapbom, for your input, it's much appreciated.
We are looking at one to serve the radiators that we currently have installed. At present we have a large boiler style burner in an adjacent outbuilding that we fuel using logs / briquettes. We order 10 cubic of wood every winter at 60/65 lev per cubic, and usually use the majority, depending on how cold the winter is. This year our logs were grossly under the 10 cubic, we have estimated that we have been short changed by at least 3 cubic of wood, and will be going back to the wood yard to inform them. This makes it a very expensive way of heating! At least with a hopper / pellet system, there is no ambiguity with the weight of the bags etc. I think 300 lev is a very reasonable price for a winter, considering we are paying 650 lev for the logs.

We may even be able to sell our current boiler style burner, if we do decide to invest in the hopper.
