There are lots of gyms in Beijing , wait until you have determined the place to stay, to a nearby gym would be more convenient

Not sure which kind of gym you'd like to join. Recommend a very good Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) gym to you - The Legend Muay Thai & Fitness. If you have some interests in such martial arts as thai Thai boxing,kickboxing, just try it

Many of the up-market compounds have their own gyms but yes once you know where you will be living / working easy to say which is relevant.
