Hello Expats,

Moving to Kuwait shortly. Looking at the various banking options. I'll be paid in USD and will want to access these funds easily while out of Kuwait. Any suggestions?

Citibank is not an option as, I've learned in the UK and Thailand, each country acts as its own separate entity without cross-border access to accounts.

HSBC website looks like they no longer offer retail services in country. Do they have an ATM there? I could always open an account in another country and simply use their cards/ATM for my day2day transactions,

I personally suggest opening an account in NBK. You have multicurrency transaction option in the bank. Also, the bank has branches & ATMs at many corners of the world. You just need a civil id number that's it.
