Pool Maintenance

Hi,

I've been looking at the real estate adverts of homes in places like Sosua & Cabarete, and have noticed that a lot of the places have smallish pools in the garden.
I was wondering how much it costs to maintain one of these for a year say?
Would you employ a handyman type of guy to look after it and leave it up to him to keep it clean etc? or would you buy the required chemicals and do it yourself?

There are guys and companies who only do this. They show up twice a week, maintain the pool and leave.  That is likely your best bet.

I have no idea on costs but others will jump in!

I have a guy that come three time a week and does my pool and gardening 3000 peso a month. chemical are handled by my property mananger
