Hi,
Im going to abu dhabi early september and i am from malaysia. May i know how can i drive a car over there? Our malaysia driving license is enough or i need to apply for 'international driving permit'

Hello .. are you coming on visit visa or residence .
if you are coming on visit visa : you need to issue international license (some goes with other license ) but to be sure issue the international .
if you are coming on residence : You cannt drive unless you issue UAE one .

Im coming for work and going to apply for resident visa. May i know what is the required document to apply for resident visa and driving license?

as long as you are coming on visit visa you can drive . when you go for work ( after issuing the work visa ) you need to apply for UAE license.
for Visa - you need your passport and your certificate testified by UAE embassy in your country .
for License .. its long process but you have to bring your current License
