We are willing to move to Dominican Republic, coming from Martinique.
Our island is becoming way too expensive for our lifestyle, but we wanted to stay in the Caribbean and meet other people.
So, we choose DR.

You may not find it that cheap here depending on your lifestyle. Have you been here before. I would suggest spending a month or two here exploring and then decide if it is "right" for you

I totally agree, although it is still delightful to hear expats point of view.
We are going there this coming easter to check the place for us to live permanently.
My brother goes there often for business, but he stays in Santo Domingo. And he told us a lot about DR too.
We gladly welcome all infos.
