It's best to get an expat plan to cover you in Brazil. I recommend the WEA Signature Care or Select plan from the PA Group. It's what I will get for my family when we move back to Belo Horizonte in a couple of years.
Amil was purchased by UnitedHealthcare and Care Plus by Bupa - rates are going very high.
