There is an online comparison site that you can use to find a retailer a little cheaper than others:
www.argep.hu
but it is only in Hungarian (I guess you could use Google Translate):

Is there an odds-and-ends electronics store in Budapest? With bins of assorted cables and connectors, for example. Where you'd go if you were stupid enough to lose a somewhat untypical charger cable.

I'll answer my own question, for others in my predicament.
Kisallee is right, of course. (Thank you!) I'd thought that that site wouldn't list something real small like the special cable I needed, but there it was. And at 991 forints, half what I expected to pay.
I bought and paid online at the store with that price listed on argep, www.notebook-alkatresz.hu. They had the cable in stock, so I picked it up right away. Start to finish, a bit over two hours.
