Hello everyone,

Were your professional qualifications recognised in Tanzania? What country did you complete your qualifications in? What profession are you in?

Did you have to go through any formalities to get your qualifications recognised, such as to have them translated?

If your qualifications weren't recognised, were there any additional tests or exams you had to complete before you were able to practice your profession in Tanzania or continue with your studies?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Dear Priscilla,

To answer your question directly; In Tanzania they do vetting of qualifications that one holds from abroad colleges/universities or any other academic institutions in case one wants to get a job in here or volunteer in for a longer period.

One is required to submit their certificates to the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) for verification/vetting of those particular credentials and depending on your country's education system and standards, here they may upgrade your passes or degrade them accordingly!.

KARIBU TANZANIA (Welcome to Tanzania!).

Thank,
