Recognition of foreign qualifications in Jordan

Hello everyone,

Were your professional qualifications recognised in Jordan? What country did you complete your qualifications in? What profession are you in?

Did you have to go through any formalities to get your qualifications recognised, such as to have them translated?

If your qualifications weren't recognised, were there any additional tests or exams you had to complete before you were able to practice your profession in Jordan or continue with your studies?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I had to go through the academic equivanance procedures in Jordan. I have BA, MBA and PhD from the USA. The process was to normalize the docs from the Amedeast then submit a very long form (16) pages to the minister of higher education  after about three weeks they called me to collect the result. They issued me another certificate that includes all of my qualifications, from high school diploma to PhD diploma. They required my original passport, photos, and my original diplomas and transcripts. I hope this helps

Can you be more specific with those names and phone numbers as well as web sites to do the conversion of your degrees and qualifications. I'm interested in coming and teaching Biology in Jordan. Thank You!

Hi, if your degrees are from the US then the first step is to take your certificates and transcripts to the Amideast. They are at www.amideast.org/jordan and ask them to notarize your documents. After that you can download the application to convert/equivalent your degrees from the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education MoHE located at Jubaiha rce.mohe.gov.jo/
They might ask you to bring many docs like original passports, diploma certificates, transcripts etc. All in original.

If your degrees are from UK then you need to notarize the same from the British Council at https://www.britishcouncil.jo/en
Then take it to MoHE .

If your degrees are from any other country you must notarize the docs from the Jordanian Embassy in that country then take it to the MoHE in Jordan.

Good luck.

Let me know if you still have any questikn
