Dear All,

I'm currently in the USA with an E2 Visa. Can I do others business activities besides the one I got my VISA? I know I cannot be an employee, but can I work for example as consultant having a contract between my LLC and another company?
Thanks

Thanks,
I already looked at those terms and conditions but the point is the interpretation of the wording "A treaty investor or employee may only work in the activity for which he or she was approved at the time the classification was granted." When talking about the ACTIVITY, this is the business or this is the company? for example if a person got the E2 VISA for a House Cleaning Activity operated via an LLC owned by 100%,  this person can only do house cleaning or he/she can only work for that LLC?
If it is referred to the LLC, can the LLC operates other business like for example dog sitting?
Further, the word "may" seems different from "must" or "have to"; the word may express a possibility.
Is there any way to better understand?
When I got my VISA I was told that besides my E2 business I could have created other business, the important was always to operate under an LLC or corporation and not be a direct employee of other companies.
Thanks for your feedback

Your visa was approved based upon what information you provided. That is it.
LLC is nothing but a business form.

I know the LLC is a business form, but that is a separate entity respect the business. For example, I can have a dog sitting business called XYZ that is 100% owned by my LLC called WJK.
Tomorrow my LLC sign a contract to do also house cleaning. Is that possible.
Another case: Tomorrow I create a new LLC called 123 and the LLC buy a consulting business. Is this something possible?
Thanks

If it were legal the US market would be swamped by 100k hot dog stand LLCs branching out into IT.
