Expected salary in MUSCAT

Hi,

I have been considered for a Finance senior manager job in Muscat. They have asked for an expected salary without telling me their budget.

My current salary in UK, inclusive is £100k per annum.

With two kids going to primary, Is it possible for someone to help me out here?

Hi eddybaloch,

£100k translates to roughly about R.O. 50,000. And monthly to about R.O. 4,000/-.

You could safely quote the same as your expected salary. If your Oman employer agrees, you could still manage to lead a fairly comfortable life here - provided the company you intend to join - takes care of your housing, transportation, electricity, water, and other utility payments.

In other words, if the salary in hand is R.O. 4,000/- and above, with all expenses paid for by the company then it would be a fair deal.
