My husband and I are retiring this summer and are planning to spend 6 months in Sosua. We have our flights books and condo rented. We are also bringing are two small dogs. Excited about our new adventure and looking forward to meeting other expats in the area.

Checkpoint Bar: Darts every Wed evening. During the busy months wonderful music on Thursdays.
Jolly Roger: Music and great food.
Casa Goethe: Spanish school. Nice folks. This would be high in fact priority on my list of things to do.

These are a few starting points to meet like minded Canucks.

Many other local restaurant and bars will open up new friendships.

More important. Strike out to meet Dominican owned businesses. The return on your time and effort is priceless.
