Hi,
I'm an Australian graphic designer possibly moving to HCMC this year.
I'm looking to see if it is possible to set myself up as a Freelance Designer or to start a small design studio? I'm an experienced designer with qualifications and clients. Anyone know what the visa options are? I would be looking to work with local and international clients if possible. Just working alone, no employees.

You could apply for 6 month multiple business visa: USD 200, stamp fee at the airport: USD 95
or 1 year multiple business visa: USD 290, stamp fee: USD 135.
If you want shorter, 3 month visa is possible.

You are better off working online for international clients who can afford your rates. Have them pay into your home bank account. Without Vietnamese income, I'm pretty sure you don't need a business visa. Google 'digital nomad'.
