Are you committed to living only in Manila? There are areas outside of Manila in other provinces here on Luzon where rents are very low cost. Some places you can find rental homes for as little as between P2,000 and P2,500 per month. Naturally they are not furnished and you need to pay your own utilities but still very low cost for a home.
