Fake US web site for work in UAE

I am a HSE contractor, been working overseas but lately in the UK.
A US company contacted me saying my cv is just what they are looking for to work in the UAE.
Sounded good, as it went on it was too good.
The alledged US company called *** Inc (good website but fake as I checked the company and it does not exist). Their telephone numbers do not connect apart from a UK north east one, which I found strange as I am from the north east.
If I went on with it I am sure they would ask for bank details.
Do not get fooled by this scam.
Though they had all the US tel numbers, the guy I replied to was a gmail address?

Of course, when you a golden opportunity from a group or a huge profiled organization and ended with communication with a gmail account, it all seems a scam, eventually their goal is to buy something from them merely a software that could help you to proceed your application with them.
