Tourist VISA with no return flight*

Hi everyone,

I am planning to move to Arusha in December 2017.  I may or may not have a job before landing. Therefore, I will most likely get a tourist VISA and look for a job when I'm on the ground. My question is, can I enter Tanzania with a one-way ticket? Will that cause concern? And then once I find employment I would then apply for a work visa, correct?

****Fingers crossed I find a job****

Thanks in advance for any answers, tips or advice!

Amanda

Hello Amanda,

I have learned that you plan to come to Arusha later in this year.

May I know the following?

1. What's your nationality?
2. What's your professional background?
3. What kind of job are you looking for; full/part-time? And in which industry?
4. Would you volunteer?

I live in Arusha and I could help you to reach out potential employers.

You can come in without a return ticket. You need to get a tourist visa but after being employed you need to have both work and residence permits, whose cost depends on wether you are employed by the NGO or business sector.

Have a great day.

And will keep in touch.

Gasto.

Hi,

how did that go?

I am thinking about doing something fairly similar.
