Wild dogs

Hello my Puerto Rican peeps,
Does anyone know of a specific company/resource that will capture wild dogs?  I am not referring to rescue groups that help the down-and-out dogs on the beach.  I am looking for services that will capture wild, vicious dogs.

Given that you live in Palmas you may want to speak with the association or the local "Alcalde". It is the responsibility of the town to keep the properties and people safe.

Some rescue shelters may also come pick them up.

There is a gap in this type of service. Loval government is not equipped for this problem.  We need a 'hired gun.'

Call these guys they should be able to guide you, maybe report what you find?

They are from the town of Carolina, but I am sure they know who to call.

We have a lot of stray dogs on the South coast but I have yet encountered any vicious ones. Are they common in other parts?

A lot of people let's their dogs loose and they can hurt a kid in a bike or a jogger, or even a stranger. A pack of dogs can do much worse.
While most dogs dont attack, some do.
In my personal opinion La Perrera should pick them all up and severely fine the owners when they show up to claim them.
If not they should be treated and be put for adoption after the adopter signs a piece of paper that states their responsibility as an owner.
Wild dogs do nobody any good no mater how nice they are at fiirst, sooner or later the survival instinct will kick in and they can become dangerous to kids and the elderly, but that is just my opinion.
Victims should suit the town when somebody is hurt, then we will see the towns take care of the problem instead of looking the other way.

Call the pound and they will euthanize the stray(if they even come out or answer the phone). If you contact a rescue or even post about the dog on Facebook, maybe get a picture, on rescue groups someone might be able to pick up the dog and rehabilitate it to adopt. If the dog is a threat, definitely call the police!
Here's a few links of groups on Facebook.
Some work for organizations like The Sato Project, but many others are just animal lovers that do what they can for these poor animals.

Good luck with the dog!

Thank you, Justpeachyy. Will put these on my To Be Contacted list.   I am a self-inflicted dog owner/dog lover.  The harsh truth is that some dogs cannot be rehabilitated.  Not unlike some of the boyfriends I have had in my life. But that is a new topic.
