Dear all,

I have a Russian passport. My permesso di soggiorno was expired so I am waiting for its renewal. I have expired permesso di soggiorno, valid passport and a paper from the post office. I just came back from Czech Republic and it was no problem to cross the border (there and back). However, I need to go to Russia (out of EU) before the appointment in the Questura.

Would you please confirm if I can leave Italy? My answer is yes since I went to Czech Republic.

However, will they allow me to go out of Russia? Would it be enough to have those three documents while crossing the border?

Thank you in advance.

You should contact the Questura to be sure of this information before leaving the country.
The problem is not going out of Russia, but rather when you will arrive at the border checks for the Schengen area, as it would require a valid visa.

all the best.
