Tell us more about all the changes in your life regarding your family, job, or friends. What about your frame of mind? How would you define your mood?

Leisure activities improve our health and social interactions. How much time do you dedicate to leisure activities and networking nowadays?

Hello everyone. Hope you all are doing well here.
Well it's been almost 5 years here in mauritius now. In starting dayz when I recently arrived things was really different for me like the life style ,routine, food(main factor) ,language  and all like in other countries they have different night life and style and different  food and language  also .so I personally felt like a cut off from all these .
But after like 5 to 6 months as I start getting used to here I start loving it .I found this country more peaceful less polution less stress and a nice routine life. And at the moment I am loving it here.obviously some few things will be missing that we are used to before but overall I find it better  and would like to rate it as 8/10.

I retired and came here to live and I find the "Mauritius"
Way of doing things funny at times like going to shop to buy a tin of paint especially in Port Louis As it may involve the use of 6 pieces of paper and three or four rubber stamps . Even if it is on a computer the pieces of paper still have to be printed and signed and stamped by three or four people .  The tin of paint perhaps only costs 200 rupees but the paperwork still has to be done

I married a mauritian and moved here three years ago. Lol yes my life has changed dramatically. Whilst I love life here I also find it incredibly frustrating at times. Finding skilled plumbers and electricians who will come when they say they will was a nightmare. People are so willing to cheat each other and the level of corruption was a big eye opener and for me very sad. The amount of street dogs and people attitudes towards them was another eye opener.

I am so happy about this topic and I hope many more of you will answer.
As I am living there from end of next month I will discover all of that soon.

What I have experienced so far is the state of mind.
People are very worried sometimes about things that are normal to me here in Germany. In this sense I see that it is a small island after all.

I also discovered that sometimes you need to go to special places for one thing like there is no other place to go and sometimes I wonder why.

Also what I find very funny is if you are searching for somebody you just go to the village and ask the people where to find this particular person and everybody knows them. If you ask even in my street in Germany only few people know me.

When I will be living in Mauritius for some time I will share more experiences.
