Hello

I am not sure if anyone can help at all, my Son Thomas has left England to live and work in Osaka but he is struggling and I was hoping that maybe I can find some one close by to make contact with him and make him feel less isolated and maybe show him around. He is teaching English for a company over there, I knew it would be hard for him but if anyone can help in any way I would really appreciate it.

Your son should go on : meetup . com
It's a good website to make friends : beer tasting, picnic, hiking, coffee, museum..
He can also check on : couchsurfing . com, there is a lot of meetups too.
In Osaka it's quiet easy to talk with people even in the street, everyone is super open, so finding friends depends of the state of mind.

Thank you for your advice. I have told him of these sites but I am unsure if he has the confidence to use them fingers crossed he starts to settle soon.
