HELLO MY COLOMBIAN FRIEND ;)

Hi everyone,

Moved from the UK to Malta (Bugibba) for 3 weeks  and looking to meet new people and make friends. Anyone fancy meeting for a coffee let me know.

Tomorrow probably I will be available for a coffee/drink

Hello everyone!

I'm Maddalena 25-years old girl from Italy and I'm here in Malta for a six-months intership at the University. I live in Sliema and I would like to meet new people and practice my english as well :)

Hey everyone!
I am 22 and moved to Malta 5 months ago to come live with my boyfriend, but am now feeling really lonely and want to make some of my own friends. I would like to meet new people - anyone feeling the same? I live in Saint Paul's Bay, but can meet up in Sliema/St Julian area too!
Olivia :)

Just moved in from Amsterdam to Sliema, looking forward to meet more expat people, have some coffee, travel the island. I like stock trading, good coffee and learning Japanese.

HI Tijscru

welcome

If you're interested in a Japanese course, there's this place:

GOOD LUCK (:

:) I want to be a friend

I'm always up for a drink/coffee....

easiest to suggest a specific time and place, then people can join in and meet each other ;-)

Very valid point, SocialWhirl. Probably too short notice to plan anything for this weekend, people will have made plans already most likely. I'm away for about a week from Thursday next week, July 20th, so once I'm back, I'll suggest a locality and venue, perhaps for the weekend of July 28-30? That said, I'm free tomorrow evening if anybody else is. Maybe this post will elicit a response from others who happen to be free? For information, I live in Gzira, so can make it to places like Sliema, St. Julian's, Valletta, without too much hassle (don't have a car and have to rely on my two feet, the Sliema to Valletta ferry, or the buses.....aarrgh!!!!).

I'm not sorry, will be in Naxxar at the Artisan fair

Hi all,
My name is Charlo and I am local. I am always open to make new friends. So feel free to get in touch if you fancy meeting up for a walk, coffee or an ice cream.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Charlo

An interesting topic. I am not an expat. I am German, who likes to be a tourist in Malta. So my perspective to Malta is completely differant. My experience with Maltese is that these people are extremely friendly and open. We made good contacts there and enjoyed the friendship of two Maltese families. Only by being two weeks there. But if I read this thread, your experience is completely differant. My friend even learnt Maltese, a language certainly much better and more beautifull than English, although not quite so important.

Hello Olivia,
I am a 46y/o Maltese guy who would like to make friends if you are still interested please send me a message. I live in Mosta and we can meet where ever is comfy for you...

Who is Olivia?

If you scroll up you find her, she posted on 5th of June

Seen it now

Hi all,
Seeing posts in this and other similar threads where people show interest in meeting and socialising is very appealing.
But also I notice is that no one seems to take concrete action and make things happen.
So what if we decide to organise a meet up, say on a Friday evening somewhere in Sliema? I have in mind a place in Balluta where they have live music.
We could organise it as soon as this Friday if there is enough interest.
Please let me know what you think about this suggestion so that I'd create a page for the event it there is enough interest.

Why do people keep starting new topics to find a friend, there are currently three wasting space on here.
There is a perfectly good pinned post for this at the top of the Forum page where everything and everyone would be in the same place!

Perhaps not for everyone but Tinder is not just a hookup app but also has a function for meeting groups of people. Also there are prob. some expat Facebook groups you can try.

Hey,

I am visiting Malta for a short business trip and would like to makje some friends there. Anyone willing to have a cup of coffe or a drink after work is invited to contact me. I'll be in Sliema Thursday till Saturday. Would love s.o. to show me Malta bars and pubs on Friday.

Kris
