Hi,

I guess it depends on which part of town you live.  Different areas will definitely attract different prices.

> How much does it cost to rent an apartment/house in Liberia?  between USD 700 to USD 3,500

> How much do you pay for your public transport tickets (bus, subway, train, tram)?  Public transportation is mainly by taxis or buses and it ranges - mainly depending with the distance.

> Staple food: what do people eat and how much do they pay for basic food like bread, rice or pasta? They have lots of Lebanese restaurants here including local ones too.  There is a wide range of food from salads to main dishes.  Refer to cookshop.biz and you will get to find out the prices for both local and foreign dishes.  Bread will normally cost approximately USD. 1.60.

>What is your monthly grocery budget? Approximately USD. 300.

> How much does it cost to see a physician/doctor/specialist in Liberia ?  My doctor charges USD. 25 for your first visit and USD 20 for the next visits.

> What is your children's schooling monthly budget?  USD. 300 (food and vehicle maintenance).

> How much does it cost to fill up your car's fuel tank? USD. 48.00

> How much do you pay for electricity/gas/water etc.? This is quite tricky.  I use both Liberia Electricity Corporation power and generator when LEC is off.  When LEC is behaving I will normally use approximately USD. 150 a month however if I have to use generator, then it costs USD. 20 for one full day.

> How much do you pay for your Internet/phone subscription? USD. 99 for internet (unlimited with cellcom) and telephone depends on how many times I call home. I will normally spend between USD. 150 and USD 200 per month.  Calls to Kenya are quite expensive!

> How much do you pay for your lunch pack on weekdays? Approximately USD. 7.

> How much do you pay for an espresso coffee? USD. 1.60

> How much do you pay for a cinema ticket? Subscribed to DSTV

> How much does a gym membership cost in Liberia?  About USD 85.
