Pull-up bar

My dumb question of the day ... but what's a pull-up bar ? Like an exercise device for chin-ups, pull-ups, or something else ?

Being a scunge by nature, I went to a plumbing supply
and bought a short length of galv. pipe with threaded ends
..screwed on the wall fittings, and bolted to the wall.   $8.

The galvanised pipe has a good grip.   Very happy.

He just has to go to any pipe supplier, hardware store, or local contractor and buy 3-4' of pipe.
Job done! $5 (or $6 including installation).

And an even better exercise is to walk down to Pasteur Street and hit the local pubs.
After falling off the stools, one can do a pull-up or chin-up off the floor, and hit the next pub.
