Hello,
We are looking to move to Belize sometime next year. Ultimately, my husband's job will determine where will be living. Since we don't have that lined up yet, my question is where would you consider is the best mainland area to raise a young family? Belize City sounds a bit scary, but is Ladyville far enough out to be a safer area? We are also looking at Corozal and San Ignacio. I personally think San Ignacio looks the nicest, but the advantage with Corozal is its closeness to Mexico. Any thoughts would be helpful!

Remember it is a small country. Nothing is very far away. It's not like driving from Colorado to Chicago to go shopping. Yes Personaly I would stay as far out of Belize City and Belmopan as your job will allow, especialy with children. OK places during the day for shoping,
but the L. A. gang influinces are very evident. Lots of WANABEEs.
