Iqama Profession Change

i have come to SA on a transferable Mason's Visa. Iqama is nw made.

I went to few interviews n they ask fr a profession change as I am a mechanical engineer. I got my degree certificates wit me, i got it attested from Kharijia Jeddah too.

How shall i proceed to change my iqama profession from Mason to Mechanical Engineer. can any one recommend me some agent who could be helpful in this job?

thanks alot.

Normally it is a long process. First your sponsor should convince labour office that he needs a person from your profession.

Don't get panic bro, just explore this website... I hope you'll find the right answer.workinginsaudiarabia.blogspot.com

Wishing you all the best!:)

this is going to take some time..
Best of luck!

Hello,

You need the following:
1. Your current IQAMA and all paperwork relating to your initial job offer and all the paperwork that was submitted to the local Chamber of Commerce.
2. You need your new job offer and all the paperwork CLEARLY stataing that your are employed as a Mechanical Engineer.
3. Sign and noterize all these documents in triplicate
4. Go to the clinic and get your new IQAMA tests done.
5. Submit all paperwork and test results to the Chamber of Commerce.

Preferably, you want to have your company's HR department handle all of this - as on your own, it could take up to 3 months to process...

Best of Luck to you.

I am moving to saudia on labor visa but soon im willing to change my profession as Salesman, kindly any one tell me that what are the fee charges for change the profession , how long time it will take. plz

I doubt you can change the profession to the salesman. This profession is for saudis only. Even if you do, the saudization monster won't let you sleep.

so wht are the other available options to call my family there ?

It's important to understand the air: Only doctors, engineers, whilecollar job holders and managers are supposed to have families here.

So, a careful selection of profession is required that must work a long way.

actually brother, i would be working as Marketing & Sales Executive which is prob whitecolor job but the thing is that the visa that i possess is classified as "non professional". so suggest me if i consult my kafeel to assign me Engineering visa rather "Labor" so would it work for me ?

:) I wish it could be that straight-forward:

For an engineering profession visa, you need to have a valid engineering degree from an accredited university. Because this will need registration with Saudi Engineering Council.

Try to take a profession with the word 'manager' in it but not prone to saudization.

OK suppose i am on labor visa i posses MBA Degree and as you said sales would be mind by saudi govt. so if im not worong they will not give me the status of "sales manager" as well :(

and there are many people in saudia those are working on engineering visa without engineering degree so how they are survived there ?

you need the proper engineering degrees for that visa plus you will have to sit the test I believe at the Saudi Engineering Council.

Forget those who have already survived here. They will survive no matter what.

I suppose a marketing supervisor or executive could be your profession of choice

You will get only technician category with diploma and computer technician is a good profession. Try for that and good luck.

Walaikum salaam
If your profession in iqama is heavy truck driver, chances are limited for you to change. Still try after getting all your certificates attested from Saudi Embassy in  your country and before change of profession, register with SEC.

Get an attested degree certificate and ask your company PR / Mandoob to do it or apporach any agency outside. There is also a fees of SAR.1000/- that needs to be paid to Jawazat under your iqama number.

Dear Friends,
I was born and brought up here in Jeddah.
And i am still under my father's sponsorship (Student Iqama).
Now i have completed my graduation (Bachelor of Business Administration) in 2012 and I am presently employed in a reputed medical company .

Currently i cannot renew my Iqama as a student because i am no more a student.

I am planning to transfer my iqama to the company which i am working now but my original certificates has not yet issued.
Now i am planning to transfer my iqama as "Aaamil aayidi" (normal labour). Will it be possible to change my profession in future after getting my original certificates ??

Yes, you will be able to change the profession back to a related one to your bachelors at a later stage.

In order to transfer now you need to take your dad and the demand letter from the company to Jawazat offices in person and get the form for release of dependent and stamped from them . This will be your release, for ease of transfer your employer can use "Sales Representative " as of now with mark sheets, rather than to labor.

Thanks for the valuable reply dear friend..
i have submitted the docs as the way u mentioned here. :)

Any time, hope things work out well for you.

My new sponsor went to Makthabal Amal ( labor office ) and he submitted a form there and the officials out there gave him a token/ticket which has a file no, my name , today's date and service needed.

My new sponsor said that now he have to go to Labor office with this token after a week to check the status.

He returned me my passports and Iqama and said he will take once when he goes there by next week

What is this for / what will  be the next step ??

This is for the transfer of sponsorship from your dad to the new sponsor. This is the process done for Students.  Once received from Passport office, will be your iqama  hopefully with new profession on it.

I am managing few staff in our company, and my job nature is Manager or Supervisor.

My Iqama job title is Accountant.

I want to change it to a title that is matching to my nature of job, I need your suggestion please.

1. What are the job titles allowed for Expatriates that are similar to Supervisor in a company?

2. How to change the Title in Iqama?

3. I have Diploma certificate from home country, should I translate it to Arabia in Riyadh?

I don't know much about these procedures, so I need real help

You could look for Operations Manager title but with a diploma, the chances of getting a manager title profession in iqama is very slim. In any case you need the certificate to be attested from the saudi embassy from where its been issued.

Thank you for your suggestion, What are the other positions that are easy for a Diploma? I don't really need a Manager title, I can even go for Supervisor.

Depends on company business, what diploma you are holding etc.
