Reading news about toxic spills and tons of dead fish which may wind up in markets.

Isn't that kind of old news?

It appears to be an ongoing problem. Although this recent issue  was not about fish from the sea.

It does make one wonder if and how much of these fish do end up in the market for sale? Piles of dead fish is a easy way for someone to make a few quick "dong." Making money quick and easy is the name of the game here, which can have unfortunate consequences.

One thing is that there are definite differences between sellers in the market.  Look for sellers who have their fish well iced while others have no ice at all.  Look for a dark eye and red gills.  Another option is fresh water fish that are sometimes sold still swimming.
