It effectively is the same salary as the Indian one as Cost of Living is 1.5 times in Mauritius. The minimum salary for a professional to work in Mauritius has been revised to 1500$=45000 MUR.
So, based on the fact that they are offering you stay (most of the time it is fully furnished including electronic home appliances, so you wont have an issue)and the Job role is better, I would say TAKE IT.

For two reasons,
one: Work wise you will grow and get experience that adds to your CV, and
two: Mauritius is like Paradise:cool:!! It's beautiful and you would love it, add to it experience of living alone in a foreign country!!

I agree with Musheer , if you are coming alone and company is providing you house than it seems ok you may still may still negotiate with company as here tax slab is flat 15 % while in india you have slab wise tax .

also if you have a joint family there than it is ok you need not required to maintain your wife and kids ( if married ) in india -if it is so think twice as you will have to maintain your family as well .

Mauritius is almost 2times costlier than india so just make out what is your savings right now and what you can save in new offer.

Check how far your locationof offcie and accomodation as you may have to travel by bus.

Though Medical is good and free in Mauritus , check the medical policy with said company - so incase if you need to go to private clinic / hospital it will be a helpful to you.

In overseas jobs you will get new exposure , new friends , new colleagues.

You may ask for escorting trip for one week to mauritius and may check what is company all about and what are the infrastructure and everything . As it seems you are from pune cost of living would be much more similar.

Congratulations of getting this job offer. The salary is quite attractive, considering that one can enjoy a rather comfortable life, as a single, on half this salary. Besides, you are spared from the accommodation cost.

Still, my advice would be that you get a proper contract of employment and study it well, and ensure that you understand all the terms and conditions therein.

Though it might appear discourteous, it would be proper for you to ask your potential employer to enlighten you on any aspect which needs additional clarification.

Indeed, at times, what is promised orally is quite different from the hard reality.
