What sports are the most popular and/or unusual in Costa Rica?
Are sports facilities easily accessible there? Where and how can one find sports clubs in the region?
Are there sports events regularly held in the country?
And you? What is your favourite sport? Which one(s) do you practice in Costa Rica?

Three things are ubiquitous in Costa Rica...no matter where you are...even in the deepest darkest jungle...you'll find these three, usually in close proximity...
1. a church
2. a bar
3. a soccer (futbol) field...
Soccer is the sport of Costa Rica.
Coming in second would be perhaps biking and then any of the extreme sports...especially, in my area of Dominical, surfing. At 55 I don't practice it as regularly as I once did, but I still enjoy riding a wave now and then.
