Adapting to the climate in South Africa

Hello everyone,

Adjusting to new climatic conditions is key in any expatriation process. Moving to South Africa is no exception.

What are the climate characteristics of South Africa?

How does the local weather impact your daily life, mood or health?

What are the pros and cons of the climate in South Africa?

Share you advice and help people adapt quickly to their new weather environment.

Thanks in advance,

Priscilla

Hi Priscilla,

On my blog about expat life in South Africa, Joburg Expat, I've written many posts about the climate, for instance:

South Africa has a great climate i should say, though its been very hot the past few months and winters not as a cold as before ( i haven't had a cold winter in a while).

In the heat it helps to drink lots of water and wear sunscreen.

In winter lots of options to keep warm
