Hello everyone,

I will be spending a month in Mauritius soon and I'm starting to think about the best way to explore the island. While I certainly will be using the public buses, I think that having my own means of transport could also be useful a fun way to get around!

I have been told that renting a car is very common, but what about a motorbike? Is this a usual practice in Mauritius? If so, where are the best places to ask about this? And how much should I expect to pay?

I am pretty confident on the road since I have driven a bike previously in South East Asia and India.

hey gordon, motorcycles are a very common feature here in mauritius, and the island is not that big, it is actually a good idea that i have seen a few do though. happy touring
