Dear fellow expatriates,
I would like to know if the law in Saudi forces expats with Iqama to have their salary transferred to a local bank account or if it can be transferred to a bank account overseas. Thank you.

The company cannot transfer money to overseas account since there will be withholding tax applied to the amount. In addition if you are under iqama here , your employer should transfer the salary to a local bank account as per new labor policy directive. You can however transfer the amount to other account overseas.

You will be paid in Saudi, but transferring the money to your home account is very easy, can be done online.
