WOW!

Dilma's out!, No she's in!, no out!, wait in! what ? she's out again?

In the meantime Brasil's credit rating has been downgraded again, foreign investers are taking their money to Argentina, workers are fleeing to Chile for work.

Dilma won't resign and if they push her out she's gonna leave a mess.

The opposition had better have a real plan ready if they force her out.

The clock is ticking.

Oh! remember the Olympics?

Will we remember the Olympics, will there be a Olympics and if it happens its to much action for me. I was holding on to the following link for I thought it was to far off the unbeaten trail.  I wonder what did they think would happen for the powers that be have never been in a fight, that lady is a fighter from the Olde Skool and Olde Skool fighters will use a tire iron,a brick, broom, dirt, shoe, cast iron skillet and the whole kitchen and rocks. Brazil police launch raids for 2nd straight day in Petrobras probe -TV

May 24 Brazilian police launched raids for a second straight day as part of the wide-ranging graft probe into state-controlled oil producer Petroleo Brasileiro SA , the GloboNews TV channel said on Tuesday.

Tuesday's raids, part of the so-called "Car Wash" operation that has rattled the heights of Brazil's business and political circles over the past two years, targeted an unnamed company suspected of receiving money illegally taken from Petrobras, GloboNews reported.

A police spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comments.

Police on Monday arrested a former treasurer of one of the parties in the country's ruling coalition. He was accused of receiving about 1 million reais ($280,465) in bribes. (Reporting by Silvio Cascione Editing by W Simon)

Al, how was the move? It is said that moving is the most stressful thing a person can experience.

This must have been said before Lavajato and the rest of this mess.

Is it too late to cancel the Olympics?

At least Lavajato seems to be R$  ;) get it? LOL

Ex haven't moved yet, I got maybe 8 weeks and I should be there, just closing out a few things and getting documents in order.
yup I got it and it is real. Not worried about the mess for the town I'm headed to I will be fine as for the country who knows as it is a whole lot of me$$ and I gue$$ the good people of Brasil will have to clean it up.
The Olympics is up in the air, I see only the hard core will make it, just a thought for with the state of things it will be a wonder. I read the Brazilian Rowing Team wants to move the event and when the Home team recognizes a problem maybe it is a problem. Car Wash is causing a lot of angst and the people I think are waiting for the Olympics to really hit the streets. It is krazee

Now this is crazy there's a new thing everyday. It's the "Lunch Money Mafia " ridículos

Brazilian police drag out students occupying schools to protest lunch money scandal

Police stand guard in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday. Police were brought in to remove students who were occupying schools and the state legislature to protest a scandal over funding for student meals.

Police in Sao Paulo have begun forcibly removing young students who are occupying a number of schools and public buildings to protest a scheme that investigators say diverted funds from their public school lunch programs.

Before sunrise in South America's largest city, a wave of police vehicles blocked off roads downtown, and officers in riot gear soon entered the Paula Souza Educational Center, dragging out dozens of children aged 13 to 18.

“He grabbed my collar, but then pulled me by my backpack. No one got really hurt, but I was scared. As soon as they walked in I thought, 'Whoa, these guys are big,'” said 17-year-old Inae Lima shortly after being removed.

Police were enforcing the first judicial order to reestablish state control over public property, including schools and the state legislature, that have been taken over by a wave of students reacting to the revelation of what local media have called theMafia da Merenda, or “Lunch Money Mafia.”

Gabriel Rodrigo Dos Santos, left, and other students occupied a school to protest what's become known in Brazil as the "Lunch Money Mafia."

(Vincent Bevins / For The Times)

Parts of Brazil's federal government are falling apart due to a corruption scandal involving offshore oil exploration, but these students have been motivated by an entirely different issue that is closer to home.

Over the last few months, state police investigators and prosecutors have found the “Lunch Money Mafia” overpaid food providers in exchange for bribes, and it's believed the school nutritional system lost millions. No criminal charges have been filed so far.

At the same time, students report missing or inadequate food, and surveys of nutritionists by local media found overwhelming evidence that students did not always have healthy portions.

The students are demanding a special parliamentary inquiry, one that would have to be opened by the legislature, into the scandal. Students, working in shifts, began occupying schools and the legislature around the clock April 28.

“The occupation was just a means to an end. We just wanted to be heard, and nothing we tried previously worked,” said Lima. She was among dozens of  students ejected from the building. She spoke as a group of students and supporters made their way to another school downtown.

As police downtown combed through the Paula Souza center early Friday, their cordon stopped residents on their way to work. Women shouted from the windows, complaining of the ruckus below. As he waited, 19-year-old street vendor Luis Cordeiro Campos said he thought the kids should be allowed to stay.

“Look, protesting is their right, and we all know food for kids here is a problem,” he said. “I just graduated and sometimes the food was just missing. You'd just be hungry until you got home.”

The Brazilian constitution guarantees the health and full education of all its population, and by law all students have a right to school meals.

Friday afternoon, police assembled at the legislature for Sao Paulo state, Brazil's biggest, which had been closed to the public in preparation of a forced removal of students who had taken over a hall. The official investigation they demand would require support of state legislators whose allies may be involved. Currently, at least 14 schools are reported occupied in the state.

“It is only the duty of the police to assist in the recovery of public property if we are needed,” Major Robson Cabanas of the military police told media inside the legislature Friday. “I'm optimistic and hope everything goes down peacefully.”

Outside, a group of students banged drums in the sun and tried to rally support of passing traffic with signs and chants.

The tactic of occupying schools has recently become popular as a way to draw attention to poor conditions or inadequate facilities.

“They just can't get away with robbing our education anymore. All I have to eat at my school is crackers,” said 15-year-old Gabriel Rodrigo Dos Santos, who became involved with the student occupation movement last year. “They better be investigated. I started sleeping here last Thursday.”

Krazy, something has to give, now there me$$ing, with the children.

Add this one to the pile, one day someone will get to the top of the Car, for we all know you start with the top of the vehicle and work your way down,

Brazil prosecutor links tourism minister to Petrobras probe-report

REUTERS/UESLEI MARCELINO

Brazil's prosecutor general found evidence linking the tourism minister of interim President Michel Temer to the corruption scheme at state-run oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA, newspaper Folha de S. Paulo reported on Monday.

Prosecutor General Rodrigo Janot included intercepted phone messages in a request to the Supreme Court for a formal investigation of Tourism Minister Henrique Eduardo Alves, Folha reported in publishing excerpts of the messages.

The messages supposedly show Alves offering political support to construction firm OAS Engenharia allegedly in exchange for campaign donations funded by money illegally taken from Petrobras. Alves, of the PMDB party, ran for the governorship of the state of Rio Grande do Norte in 2014.

OAS Engenharia is one of the several engineering firms with executives sentenced by local courts over their involvement in the corruption and money laundering scandal.

Alves has repeatedly said all campaign donations were legal. The general prosecutor's office did not immediately respond to request for comments.

Alves is the third minister in Temer's cabinet to be linked to the massive Petrobras corruption scheme since his interim administration started last month.

Within the space of one week, Temer had to drop Planning Minister Romero Juca, a key figure in passing austerity measures through Congress, and the minister in charge of fighting corruption, Fabiano Silveira, after recordings suggested they had tried to derail the Petrobras investigation.

Brazil's Senate voted last month to suspend President Dilma Rousseff for up to six months to face trial for allegedly breaking budget rules.
